FLUORIDATION OF WATER Committee To Advise Local Bodies

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 9. The Deputy-Director-General of Health (Dr. H. B. Turbott) announced yesterday that the Board of Health has established a committee to advise and assist local authorities on the fluoridation of public water supplies. The Municipal Association conference in Christchurch called on the Government to establish such a committee. The committee consists of Dr. Turbott, Dr. Muriel Bell. Health Department nutritionist; Dr. G. N Davies, head of the department of preventive dentistry at Otago University; Dr. J. B. Bibby, director of the Division of Dental Hygiene: Colonel J. F. Fuller, of the New Zealand Dental Association: Mr R P. Fish, city engineer. Hastings: and Mr H. J. Wood, of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
