Coastal Vessel Sinks

PORT MORESBY, March 9. The 40-ton coastal vessel, Nuguria, which sprang a leak yesterday later sank without loss of life about 100 miles east of Madang. The Nuguria’s pumps were unable to cope with the inflow of water and she foundered while lying at anchor about a mile off Long Island, on the western tip of New Britain. The Army vessel, Tarra, will take the crew back to Madang.
