ILLEGAL STRIKE CHARGES
Hearing Adjourned Indefinitely (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 6. The hearing of summonses against 35 boilermakers at the Mercer power project, who took part last month in a strike alleged to be illegal, has been adjourned indefinitely. The cases were down for hearing today in the Pukekohe Magistrate’s Court. The Minister of Labour (Mr Hackett), speaking from the West Coast, said he could make no comment. The dispute was still under consideration by the Conciliation Commissioner (Mr H. Hopper). It would not be right, he added, fgj.” him to say anything.
