Antarctic Film

The proceeds from the screening of a film on the Antarctic in an Auckland theatre about March 23 will be given to Sir Edmund Hillary. Mr W. H. Knox, chairman of the Auckland Ross Sea Appeal Committee, is planning to have the presentation made at a “welcome home” function. The film will be shown a few days after the Commonwealth expedition members arrive in Wellington, and the Mayor, Mr K. N. Buttle, will be invited to present the takings to Sir Edmund Hillary.
