Jean Prat Not To Play Wallabies
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7 p.m.) PAU, March 4. France’s great Rugby Union player, Jean Prat, may be barred from playing against the Australian Wallabies on Thursday. Prat, who is now 35, and has played in 44 test matches, made a comeback this season. He played against the Wallabies 10 years ago in the test match at Paris. Now he wanted to play against them again, this time for the Beam.
But selectors yesterday were instructed by the French Rugby Union not to choose any international players against the Australians for Thursday’s match.
The Wallabies will visit Lourdes tomorrow, and Prat has invited them to visit his hotel bar.
