Executive Of W.D.F.F.
Mrs H. Rule presided at a meeting of the Canterbury provincial executive of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers recently. She welcomed Mrs A. Harper, who recently returned from an overseas trip, and Mrs R. Jones. Auckland, a life member of the Styx branch, who was visiting Christchurch.
It was decided to send a letter of sympathy to Mrs W. Oakley, a member of the provincial committee, who is in hospital in New Plymouth. A letter of thanks will be sent to Mrs R. Berryman, who has resigned as provincial representative on the after-care committee. Mrs A. Stott was appointed to that committee. Group rallies will be held at Tai Tapu on March 13 and at Darfield on March 25. Arrangements were made to entertain a visiting group of W.D.F.F. members from North Auckland.
Mrs Neta D. Neale has returned to Christchurch after producing “Androcles and the Lion” for the ‘‘Festival of the Pines” held at the Brooklands Bowl at New Plymouth.
