(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, March 5. Victoria's outstanding colt, Misting, will run in the Golden Slipper Stakes over six furlongs at Rosehill on Saturday, March 22. Yesterday, his part-owner. Miss Sally Manifold, walked in to the V.A.T.C. office and wrote a cheque for £looo—the highest late entry fee ever paid in Victoria.
Miss Manifold is the daughter of Sir Chester Manifold, and she races the brilliant grey colt in partnership with her mother.
