50-Acre Property At £4600
A 50-acre grazing and dairying farm in Jeffs road. Ohoka, was sold for £4600 (£92 an acre) at an auction in Christchurch on Wednesday. The purchaser was Mr G. Johnson, of Ohoka.
Buildings on the property, which was offered on account of the trustees in the Estate of the late Mr T. B. Power, include a fiveroomed house, a detached washhouse, and a garage. The property is subdivided into six paddocks by gorse and wire fences, and is watered by creeks and springs. Bidding started at £3OOO (£6O an acre). There were six bids of £250 and two bids of £5O.
A five-roomed bungalow on a section of 30 perches in Marshland road was pased in at another auction at £3400. The property was offered on account of Mr R. O. Adamson.
