MACHINERY FOR COUNTIES
Bulk Buying Not Favoured
(New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, Nov. 27. Ward 4 of the New Zealand Counties’ Association is not in favour of bulk buying of machinery and materials for county use. The counties represented indicated at today’s conference in Palmerston North that they wished to be free to order machinery and materials when they were wanted.
The conference was discussing an Otago-Southland remit which sought bulk buying by the association to reduce costs
