RISINGHOLME CENTRE

A demonstration on how to make a cocktail hat in 25 seconds was given by the guest speaker (Mrs Pauline Rusbridge) at a meeting of the Women’s Group of the Risingholme Community Centre last evening. The hat was made with a length of black nylon tulle tied into four bows on the head and decorated with pink roses which nestled among the material. Mrs Rushbridge told the members of some of her experiences when she was in charge of the costuming of' a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film unit when it was in New Zealand earlier this year filming location shots for “Before They Sail.’’ Miss J. Edgar presided over the meeting, which was the last one for the year.
