New Model Bristol Britannia

(AZ_Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) SINGAPORE, November 27. A new model Bristol Britannia arrived today after making the. trip from London in 22hr 21min flying time, with only one stop. The Britannia, A 312, is a successor to the 100, the airliner now being used by Qantas and 8.0.A.C. on the London-Sydney route. Bristol’s chief test pilot. Captain Walter Gibbs, flew the plane, which carried 48 company technicians and engineers, who will study its tropical performance. The new model has a range of 5000 miles, a cruising speed of 400 miles an hour, and can carry 100 passengers.
