TREE PLANTING BY MR KISHI
Statement By Town Clerk (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 28. No proposal' had been made to the Wellington City Council for the planting of a tree in the Botanical Gardens by the Japanese Prime Minister (Mr Kishi) said the Town Clerk (Mr M. S. Duckworth) today. Mr Duckworth made the statement when commenting on remarks yesterday by the Japanese Minister (Mr H. Shimadzif) that he had not been informed if the city council had declined any tree planting in the gardens by Mr Kishi.
