Tariff on Toilet Sets.— Changes affecting the tariff on toilet sets and combs imported from Australia have been announced by the Minister of Industries and Commerce IMr E. H. Halstead). The changes, recommended by the Board of Trade, provide for specific duties of 2s a set on toilet sets and 2id each on hair and toilet combs as alternatives Io the existing ad valorem rates on these items. The Minister said that similar changes had recently been made in the British preferential, most favoured nation, and general tariffs covering the items.—(F.A.)
