Racing AT TE AROHA TODAY

Revolver For First Leg “The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, November 28. Revolver, Alluring and Philadelphia are form candidates for the £llOO President’s Handicap at the Te Aroha Jockey Club’s summer meeting tomorrow and they are popularly fancied to dispute the finish. Each is a fair stayer able to keep on running solidly. The handicap is cramped and Philadelphia is at the top with 8-1. She and Revolver ran well last time without paying a dividend, in the Waikato Gold Cup— Revolver for fourth and Philadelphia for seventh. Alluring finished third. If he keeps his handicapped weight, Revolver will meet the other two on better terms tomorrow. Philadelphia at 21b and Alluring at 51b. Noteworthy runners beside Revolver, Alluring and Philadelphia, will be San Diego, Free Ticket and Royal Diamond. It is a while since Free Ticket or Royal Diamond displayed worthwhile form, but they have occasionally shown signs of having stamina which might stand to them this time. The President’s Handicap ’will be the first leg of the double. The second leg, the Flying Handicap, of six furlongs, is well up to standard and it includes several very speedy horses. Notable are Gold Sieve, Barobar, Attila, Great Rose and Lady Debra. It seems likely that they will dispute the finish.

The ground dried right out during a fine, hot spell, and if the weather keeps favourable the going will be fast.
