Delegations To Exchange Visits

CANBERRA, November 27. A Parliamentary delegation from Australia will visit Japan early next year and a Japanese Parliamentary delegation will pay a return visit to Australia. This was announced today by the President of the Senate (Senator McMullen) and the Sneaker of the House of Representatives (Mr J. McLeay). They said the proposal for an exchange of delegations between the two countries arose during discussions which the Prime Minister (Mr Menzies) had with the Japanese Prime Minister (Mr Kishi) during his visit to Tokyo in April. It was proposed that each delegation would consist of ~ eight members and would make a visit of about 10 days as national guests in the respective countries.
