Launceston Wool Sale

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LAUNCETON (Tasm.), Nov. 27. The Launceston wool sales closed today with a clearance of 11,834 bales at rates close to those in Melbourne last week. The offering of best comeback and fine crossbred wools met strong competition from Japan, the United Kingdom, the Continent and local mills. There was useful American demand for very best lines. The only easing on Melbourne price levels was for medium to coarse crossbred. Top price for the day was lOld for eight bales of comeback. One bale of lambswool made 78d.

Somebody who lipped out several pages from a Milford. Connecticut public library book left a note: “I could have taken the whole book.”
