Truce Urged In Algeria WASHINGTON. November 27 King Mohammed V of Morocco ended his talks with the Secretary of State (Mr Dulles) tonight by expressing the hope that friendly negotiations would settle the battle between the French and Algerian nationalists in North Africa. He said a peaceful solution should be based on the right of peoples for self-determination. The King’s view was given in a joint statement issued at the White House, after he had ended a round of high-level foreign policy talks with Mr Dulles. The statement pledged both Governments to continue negotiations now in progress for renewing leases on five American military bases in Morocco. These include four Strategic Air Force bases and one naval installation. The communique also said that the United States would continue to undertake in Morocco economic and technical aid programmes which would be jointly agreed upon. The United States is now providing 20 million dollars in such aid each year.
