The Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects held its annual meeting, preceded by a dinner at the Sign of the Takahe on Tuesday. Guests invited to the dinner included Messrs E. After the dinner and the departure of the guests the annual meeting was held and the following officers were elected: Chairman, Mr C. B. Wells; vicechairman. Mr J. A. Hendry; secretary; Mr B. P. Moffat; honorary auditor, Mr E. J. Woolf; branch representatives, education. Mr F. M. Warren; provincial council building, Mr J. K. Collins; public relations, Messrs M. J. Moffat P. J. Leonard, S. W. The Internal Revenue Service in America ruled that a divorcing couple may file a joint income tax return while awaiting the final decree.
