“Adventure” Holidays.— Arranged by the Youth Hostels Association of England and Wales as an experiment in 1957, adventure holidays were so popular that similar holidays are being planned for next year. These will include underwater swimming in Devon, pony-trekking in Devon and Wales, canoeing on the Thames and Wye, sailing in Lake Bala and off the Essex coast and a canal cruise on a horse-drawn boat.
