QUOTATIONS IN CHRISTCHURCH

Auckland Hide And Sheepskin Sale

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. November 26. Bidding was brisk at the fortnightly Auckland hide auction today and 'the market was generally steady. Top prices of Auckland abattoir hides were unchanged, with the exception of yearlings, which lost Jd per lb. Country butchers' ox and cow hides eased by id. while farmers’ hides improved by the same amount.

Values of salted sheepskins were mainly steady for the shorter skins, but three-quarter wools eased 3d tn 23s a skin and full wools lost Is 3d to 29s 6d. Dry sheepskins showed a further marking down in value, prices falling by about per lb for the half and full-woolled skin®. ,
