Descriptive Atlas of N.Z.
A descriptive atlas of New Zealand is to be published bjr the Lands and Survey Department next year. The Government Printer has commenced the printing of the maps for the atlas and will be engaged for about a year on the task. A high standard of work has been maintained by the three draughtsmen engaged on the project, and proving runs made of one or two map folders show evidence of as high a standard of printing technique as in the mapdrawing stage. It was originally planned that the atlas would be ready by the end of this year, but the work has been delayed.
