French Airline To Serve N.Z.

(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) PARIS, Jan. 16 The private French air company, Transport Aeriens Tntercontinentaux (T.A.1.) today announced that it had received Government approval to extend its Pacific line as far as New Zealand.

The line, which will start on February 4 on a regular weekly basis between Auckland and Paris, will be the first direct air link between France and New Zealand.

The company said that this line would open new prospects for economic exchanges between France and New Zealand and for closer relations between New Caledonia and the Dominion. At present a bi-monthly service operates between France and New Caledonia.
