RACING DRIVER’S DEATH

400 AT FUNERAL SERVICE

(New Zealand Prgss Association) AUCKLAND. January 16.

About 400 persons attended the funeral service of the British racing-car driver. Ken Wharton, in the Church of the Hnly' Sepulchre, Auckland, this afternoon. The service was conducted by Canon F. I. Parsons. One of Wharton's favourite hymns. "Praise My Soul the King of Heaven,” was sung. After the service the casket was removed to a nearby mortuary chapel. Tomorrow, it will be flown to England.
