FIJIAN TEAM AT INVERCARGILL

WINS IN EIGHT OF ELEVEN BOUTS

(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, June 12 The Fijian boxing team last night pul up the best performance of its tour at Invercargill, winning eight of the 11 bouts.

Perhaps the most important success was the defeat of the New Zealand featherweight champion and Jameson Belt holder, G. Anderson, by S. Roko. Roko was superior to Anderson in all departments and took a popular decision.

Another title-holder, M. McMillan, of Winton, was beaten by T. Schuster. Schuster made McMillan miss badly in the closing stages of an even bout, and continually connected with good punches.
