J. G. SIMPSON MEETS KOCH AGAIN

RIVALS IN 1949 TESTS IN SOUTH AFRICA

(New Zeatana Press Association! WHANGAREI, June 12. J. G. Simpson, one of the props on the All Blacks 1949 tour of South Africa, was given a warm welcome at Whangarei to-night by one of the men who marked him in three of the tests and who is one of the few members of the 1956 Springboks to have played in that series—Chris Koch. Simpson was accompanied by the captain of the 1949 side,. F. R. Allen, who had met the team on its arrival at Auckland.

The 1949 All Black hooker, E, H. Catley, met the team at Hamilton. The third member of the front row, which was nominated by many as one of the best of all time and the New Zealand forward whom the Springboks have asked most about, Kevin Skinner, will probably meet the team in Auckland next week-end.
