VIETNAMESE MIDWIVES, Miss Le Thi Thuan-Hoa (left), and Miss Tran Thi Phong, the first nurses from Vietnam to study in New Zealand under the Colombo Plan, sharing a chair in the nurses’ home at the Christchurch Public Hospital last evening. They will study for six months in Christchurch and later continue their courses in Wellington and Auckland. In Vietnam the midwifery course is of three years and the nursing course of two years.
