LAST DAY IN KOREA (N.Z. Press Association—Copi/ngM) SEOUL. March 25 Commonwealth troops in Korea were enjoying beer or playing football here yesterday—their last full day in Korea The bulk of the British Commonwealth troops are due to leave early tomorrow and next week —some of them for home, and some for Malaya. The First Battalion, Roval Australian Regiment, and about 100 New Zealanders will board the 20.000-tun vessel New Australia tonight. The ship will go straight to Sydney, where it is expected on April 5. The 48th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, is going to Inchon, rest centre of the famed Glouncester valley on the truce. The regiment is due to leave Korea for Malaya next week. The Commonwealth Division was officially dissolved on March 15 with a farewell parade held near the front line. During the war the division had 7268 casualties. A Commonwealth battalion will remain along the truce line—the First Battalion of the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders supported by medical men from Canada, signal detachments from Australia and transport detachments from New Zealand.
