Debts for Surplus Goods.— The British Government is owed £461.000 by people who bought surplus goods and have not fully paid for them. The largest sum owing is £lOl,OOO on the sale of 50 small vessels bought by one' man in 1946 when they were lying off Egypt. This information was given in the House of Commons by the Financial Secretary to the Treasurv (Mr Henry Brooke) .—London, March 25.
