Wellington, J for the 27 hours after the time of issue, Situation:— A trough of low pressure is moving eastwards across New Zealand. Forecast:— Nelson and Marlborough.—Some rain early, but moderate west to south-west winds developing during the morning, and weather becoming mainly fair, with moderate temperatures; outlook, mainly fair. West Coast.—Moderate winds from a westerly quarter prevailing; weather cloudy and cool, with scattered showers; outlook, occasional showen. Canterbruy.—Light to moderate variable winds cloud clearing during the morning; moderate temperatures; outlook, fair to cloudy. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesteraay was fine and sunny, with a light northeast wind. The maximum temperature was 55.3 degrees. At midnight the sky was almost •vereast, and an 11-knot easterly wind was blowing. The temperature was 46 degrees.
