KANCHENJUNGA CLIMBERS

(Rec. 7 p.m.) DARJEELING, June 7. The British expedition leader, Dr. Charles Evans, was one of the climbers who reached the summit of Kanchenjunga, according to reports today. The reports, so far unconfirmed, said the assault party consisted entirely of expedition members, without Sherpas. > The climbers are expected to arrive in Darjeeling on June 12. They will be met on the way down by Tensing Norkay. who, with Sir Edmund Hillary, reached the summit of Everest.
