PROGRAMME FOR TODAY
“The Press”- Special Service * BLENHEIM, April 24. The weather has been fine, and If there is no further rain the track will be fast for the concluding day of the Marlborough meeting at Waterlea on Tuesday. The double is on the President’s and Harvey Handicaps. With Pinnacle Ridge out of the way. the President’s Handicap bears a much more open appearance, and Fulgent makes most appeal after his good race on Saturday. A light-weight prospect is Relinquish, after his brilliant finish for fifth in the sprint on the first day. Sanford is expected to start in the Harvey Handicap, and as he was hampered for room on the opening day, he may prove more difficult to beat over the extra distance. However, the favourite may be a newcomer in Tricorne. He has run three thirds on end, and looks in solid condition. Selections are:— Trial Stakes.—lnaugural, Nicosia, Royal Quest.
