Hawarden.— Mrs Hood presided over the April meeting of the Hawarden Women’s Institute. There was a large attendance of members. A panel of speakers. Dr. Kennedy, Mrs Manning, and the Rev. and Mrs Goodall, were welcomed to the meeting. Many questions were put to the 2 an Competitions resulted as follows: «Hl. l Woom: Mrs Avery 1, Mrs K. Bryndwr.—Mrs Menzies presided over an attendance of 70 members at the April meeting of the Bryndwr Women’s Institute. Resignations were received with regret from Mrs Lamb and Mrs Seymour, it was announced that a jumble sale will be held in July. The choir sang two items. A competition arranged by Mrs Pattison was won by Mrs Chilvers. Birthday sprays were presented by Mrs Moore. Mrs Campbell gave an interesting demonstration on the uses of tomatoes, and was by MrS .
