Mr Holland’s Plane Delayed
(Rec. 11 p.m.) ZURICH. February 24. The plane carrying the New Zealand Prime Minister (Mr Holland) home from the Commonwealth conference in London has been delayed overnight in Zurich by snow. The aircraft is expected to leave later this morning for Beirut.
Barefoot Bunner Sets Record—Dave Stephens, who ran in bare feet because he could not afford to buy a new pair of spikes, .broke the Australian three miles record last night. Stephens won the Victorian amateur
championship at St. Kilda by 300 yards in 13 minutes 31.8 seconds.—Melbourne February 24.
