Wool Values In Australia

(Rec. 11.10 p.m.) GEELONG, Feb. 23. All descriptions of comebacks and crossbreds were fully firm throughout today’s Geelong wool sales. There was some irregularity early for superspinners, but the demand for these types became firmer as the sale progressed. Competition was strong and widespread. with the Continent, Britain and Australian mills heading the buying. There was practically a total clearance of the offering of 13,600 bales.

The selection was 60 per cent. Merino. Prices: Merino extra super 90’s, up to 190 d; crossbreds, extra super 60/ 64’s, 106 d: super 56’s, 82d; good 50’s, 74d.
