(From a Reuter Correspondent) NAIROBI, (Kenya). The Kenya War Council announced that, in future, compulsory national service for Europeans and Asians is to be restricted to a minimum of two and a maximum of two and a half years. Africans are not conscripted. The council added that it reserved the right to retain a man in the forces if he is considered essential during the emergency. He will receive a compensation pay of £l5 a month for any period beyond two and a half years.
