DISTRICT NURSING ASSOCIATION

REPORT ON WORK IN SEPTEMBER

The matron (Miss M. Corkill) reported at the monthly meeting of the Nurse Maude District Nursing Association that during September 3315 treatments had been given to 375 patients.

She said September had been a very busy month for the district nurses ana the Nurse Maude Convalescent Home. The association’s home aid service was providing domestic help for many patients. About 70 patients were receiving twice a week hot meals provided by the Red Cross Voluntary Aid Detachments, said Miss Corkill. It was reported that the Friends of the Nurse Maude Association had organised a pleasant gathering at “Otanuna,” to which 25 of the patients had been taken. The association was most grateful to Sir R. Heaton Rhodes for making his beautiful garden available for this outing.
