CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION MEETS AT ASHBURTON More than 150 firemen and officials from all parts of Canterbury attended the Canterbury Provincial Fire Brigades’ Associa--110113 annual competitions, which were held on Mona square, Ashburton, on Saturday. Teams from Lyttelton, Waimate, Temuka, Pleasant Point, Kaiapoi, Sumner, Ashburton, Addington Railway, Burnham, and Leeston took part. Shield and cup winners were as follows: Championship Shield, Addington Railway; Hereford Cup. Lyttelton; Stokes Cup, Addington Railway; Lyttelton Licensed Victuallers’ Cup, Sumner; Carson Memorial Cup, Lyttelton; Bowman Cup, Sumner; Rose Bowl, Temuka. The twentieth annual competitions of the Nelson-Marlborough-Golden Bay SubAssociation of the United Fire Brigades’ Association was held in the Camping Ground, Kaikoura, on Saturday, in fine weather.
