“DO NOT LOOK ON YOUR BOSS AS AN OGRE” "The Press” Special Service HAMILTON. August 12. Hints given by the Mayor of Hamilton (Mr R. Braithwaite) to school children and office workers awarded Chamber of Commerce diplomas and certificates included the following:— “Do not look on your boss as an ogre. Most employers today are kindly, amiable and long-suffering men. “The tone of a business depends a lot on the young people in it. Cultivate a pleasant speaking voice, work hard and do not turn the morning tea break into a long-drawn-out ritual. “Take a wider interest in the English language. Office workers get into the habit of using set phrases in correspondence, such as ‘We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter
