Natural Gas From Oil Well
Natural gas from Egmont Oil Wells, Ltd.’s new well at Bayly road, Moturoa, was drawn off recently for the first time and fed into the New Plymouth domestic supply. The quantity barng taken off is not great, and it is I not yet known how much is available from the new well. The New Plymouth Gas Company is already using natural gas from other Moturoa wells. The gas company manager, Mr A. Blackman, said that, with the recent cold spell, gas consumption had risen «nd the company was taking off new tp meet the increased demand.
