BUS ROUTES
Sir,—The temporary return of buses to the old tram route in the Square during the side-channel renovations opposite, makes one appreciate the days when we were able to step on to our city conveyances within comfortable reach of- the tram shelters, instead of darting backwards and forwards across this busy part of the town in front of the Cathedral. Undoubtedly, new ide’Ss should be given a fair trial, but sometimes old ideas prove their worth. Perhaps a return to the old route could be given some reconsideration.—Yours, etc., BUS PASSENGER. August 11, 1954.
