Parachute Championship.—Soviet competitors took the first three places in the world parachute-jumping championship which ended at St. Yan, in central France, on Friday. The Hussions proved highly accurate in manoeuvring their parachutes to within a few yards of the landing “target.” The team classification was: Russia 1, Czechoslovakia 2, France 3, Jugoslavia 4.—Paris, August 8.
