INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE
A debate between teams representing Christchurch Boys’ High School and Christ’s College last evening was won by Christ’s College by 223 points to 200. The subject was “That the evils of Communism are greatly overrated.’.’ The Christ’s College team, which took the negative side, comprised H. J. B. Quigley, E. W. Unwin, and T. R. Lowry. I. A. Buckingham, J. R. Pilbrow; and D. C. Close represented Boys’ High School. The judge, Mr E. S./Bowie, said that speaking was of a high standard, presentation of the material was good, and language and diction could not be faulted.
