PLAY IN CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Tlie first section of the men’s singles events in the Canterbury table tennis championships was played last evening in the Selwyn Street Hall. Results were:— First Round.—P. R. Wood beat R. Second Round.—B. D. P. Williamson beat Wood, 21-9, 21-14, 21-11; R. Radford beat B. Wadman, 21-7, 21-19, 21-15; R. G. Hart beat K. C. Duns, 21-15, 21-10, 21-15; N. V. Bennett beat J.
