PRIVATE ENTERPRISE
Sir, —We read in the daily papers that table margarine will not be allowed on the market, because it might affect the butter producers. Why? Where is their great private enterprise now? The Chamber of Commerce and the farmers have been the greatest exponents of competitive prices—competition, in short, private enterprise. The manufacturers have to compete with huge imports. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.—Yours, etc., FAIR PLAY. June 4, 1954.
