AIR TALKS TO BE HELD

OFFICIALS NOW IN CHRISTCHURCH

Discussions will be held in Christchurch this week among aviation officials of the British, Australian and New Zealand Governments and representatives of airlines. It is likely that the existing airline partnerships among the three Governments will be further discussed. The British delegation will be headed by the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Mr J. D. Profumo, who came to New Zealand in the Viscount. Sir Arnold Overton, Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of . Civil Aviation, reached Christchurch yesterday. Air Vice Marshal R. P. Willock, civil aviation adviser to the United Kingdom High Commissioner in Australia, came to Christchurch last week. The Australian Minister of Civil Aviation, Mr H. L. Anthony, and the New Zealand Minister-in-charge of Civil Aviation, Mr T. L. Macdonald, will be present. Mr T. A. Barrow, vice-chairman of Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd., and formerly Air Secretary, will also attend the talks. The chairman and managing director z of Qantas Empire Airways. Sir Hudson Fysh, also arrived in Christchurch yesterday.
