AIR RACK DANCE HELD BY JUNIOR NATIONAL PARTY

More than 50Q young persons were the guests of the Canterbury-Westland division of the Junior National Party at an air- race dance on Friday. The guests of honour were the Prime Minister (Mr Holland), the “Queen of the Air Race” (Miss Patricia Lloyd, of Dunedin), and the nine other Dominion finalists in the queen contest. The queen and the finalists were presented to Mr Holland by the divisional chairman of the Canterbury-Westland Junior National Party (Mr D. L Round). They were presented with sprays by the secretary of the organising committee (Miss Marion Holdsworth). On Sunday evening the queen and the finalists were the guests of the Junior National Partv at an informal gathering in the National Chib lounge Among the guests were Mr H, R. Lake. M.P.. and Mr J. B. Jenkins, chairman of the Canterbury-Westland division of the party.
