MURUPARA PULP SCHEME
LOAN AUTHORISED BY TREASURY
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, August 27. The “Daily Mail” said today that Treasury permission has been given for the £10,000,000 New Zealand loan for the Murupara. pulp and paper-making scheme. “Arrangements for the loan are now being made in London and it is almost at the top of the ‘colonial’ issues queue,” the newspaper said. “Doubtless the loan’s sponsors will be encouraged by the remarkable strength of the gilt-edged market this week, and yesterday’s oversubscription of the £4,500,000 East African loan.”
