N.Z. COMPOSER’S WORK
Performance Next Year In Leeds (Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) (Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, July 21. Variations for orchestra by Barry Moss, a 22-year-old Wellington composer, will be performed by the Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maurice Miles at the Leeds Town Hall on March 6, 1954. This work recently won the Philharmonic Society’s prize. Mr Moss arrived in Britain in October, 1950, and has been studying at the Royal Academy of Music.
