A PROUD DAY FOR H.M.A.S. SYDNEY.—Members of the ship’s company of the Australian aircraft-carrier Sydney form the figures "10,000” to mark the 10,000 th landing of an aircraft on the flight deck on July 17, when the Sydney was about 300 miles south-west of the Mexican Pacific coast. The carrier, which is due at Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, next Sunday, is on her way home from England, where she took part in the Coronation naval review. On board are members of the New Zealand and Australian Coronation contingents.
