MAN DIES OF BURNS
ATTEMPT TO RESCUE CHILDREN
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 19. Severely burned on Tuesday evening while attempting to rescue children from a burning house at Mamaranui, near Dargaville, a Maori died in the Te Kopuru Hospital late on Friday night. . , He was Mr Waru Te Waiti, aged 28, married, a returned soldier. The children were trapped in the burning house.
